My Life

All my life, I have been interested in art, luckily I have had the luck to pursue it even while working in the building trade.

My art is to capture the essence of the scene as it really was at that time, when painting plein air, the changing light alters the scene so one must rush with a study of the scene, the nor west wind is a factor I have had to tie my easel to the car door for shelter plus rocks and bushes.

I have traveled nearly every road in both islands looking for scenes for my galleries in Auckland, Wellington and other venues.

We have stayed in our motor home at some unusual places to catch the scene I wanted in river beds, back country tracks, even under hones flagpole above Russel in the Bay of Islands.

My work is by commission or by any photography you may want turned into an artwork, be it landscape, animal or building.
